Learning Log (inside) 3

Today, In curriculum and learning management in English. I have learned about teaching method that my friends presented. They presented about content-based learning, listening teaching, speaking teaching, reading teaching, writing teaching and vocabulary teaching.

          First, Content - Based Iearning <CBI> The focus of a CBI lesson is on the topic . During the lesson students are focused on learning about something. It's a study of both language acquisition and subject matter. 

It use of content from other disciplines in language teaching.Teachers help to develop linguistic content. Language is learned best when it is used to bring interesting information.The students are actually able to use their new language.

         Second, Listening teaching,  Listening skills are important for learners. Listening skills are best learned through simple, engaging activities that focus more on the learning process than on the final product. Learners need practice the skills and ability to listen and understand the message has been listening. So, it is essential for language teachers to help their students become effective listeners. There are three steps for the listening process 1. Pre-listening  2. While-listening 3. Post-listening.


         Third,  Speaking teaching, speaking is a crucial part of second language learning and teaching. Speaking skills focus on Patterns, Accuracy, Vocabulary, Grammar. These learners define fluency as the ability to converse with others. They believe speaking as the most important skill they can acquire in spoken communication. learners need to know speaking involves three areas of knowledge. There are 3 points,Mechanics, Functions, Social and cultural rules and norms. 


          Fourth, Reading teaching, English reading are two types of Reading aloud and Silent Reading.  The goal of instruction is communicative competence, everyday materials such as train schedules, newspaper articles, and travel because reading is one way communicative competence is developed. Teachers should have the knowledge and techniques for teaching reading skills to students. Reading aloud technique 1. Basic Steps of Teaching 2. Reading for Fluency 3. Reading and Look up 4. Speed Reading 5. Reading for Accuracy, Silent Reading technique has the same characteristics as the listening skills it have 3 forms 1. Pre-Reading  2. While-Reading 3. Post-listening.

          Fifth, Writing teaching, teaching how to write effectively is one of the most important life-long skills educators impart to their students. Writing skills need to start by creating a system of writing from Controlled Writing to Less Controlled Writing and to  Free Writing Writing is a move away from students writing to test their language towards the communication of ideas, feelings and experiences. Teachers should have techniques teaching .Writing skill focus on  Fluency, Accuracy, Vocabulary, Grammar, Pattern Content. Writing technique has three method 1. Controlled Writing 2. Less – Controlled Writing 3. Free Writing 

           Last,Teaching vocabulary. A group of researchers said learning to learn vocabulary from the vocabulary guess from the story. But It has a group of researchers who think differently is. The vocabularies guess it does not make learning real. Teachers have a very important role in order to use the technique in teaching vocabulary to help the students learn vocabulary such as Using games or music to teach vocabulary, it's making the students interested and memorizeใ



           In conclusion, Today I have learned 6 teaching method.  All  presentation are well. After my friend presented  I understand and  know the meaning, approach, theory and technique .I can apply in writing lesson plans.
